If you tried it, how happy were you w/the results, good or bad?
Am thinking of trying this but thought I'd ask about it 1st. Thanks for the input! :)

Had to have the freon charged up in my van today & I asked the guy about the Turtle Wax Restorer. He said to use just plain old toothpaste w/a cotton cloth & rub it in. Let it dry & then wipe clean. So, I'm going to give that a whirl 1st. A nice, cheap fix if it works. :)

Went to my auto supply store and asked for the best the had. Cost around $25. Took about 10 minutes for each headlight. Works great. Beats the $250 they charge at service stations.

Just follow instructions exactly. Need water and a rag. 3|1|For the toothpaste remedy, it depends on the type of headlight lens you have in your car.|littlewolf|CCsuterlab@aol.com|08:10:32|06/19/2013|

If they are glass lens, I would try the toothpaste remedy with PLAIN white toothpaste. Remember to make sure that there is no whitening or mint in the toothpaste because it may damage the lens. If they are plastic/acrylic lens, the toothpaste remedy may end up doing more harm to them. I say that because I saw too many *damaged* headlights come into my best friend's body shop that had the toothpaste remedy used on them.
When they get to a certain point, it is safer and easier to just replace the headlight lens. After you have the new headlights installed, remember to put a coat of wax on them on a regular basis. Also, depending on the type of car and how mechanically inclined you are with it, there are many places online to order the headlights(much cheaper than going to an automotive dealer for them) and then you can install them.
