CALIBRACHOA I buy the plants in a hanging pot. I especially like the blue flowers with the yellow centers. I am partial to blues and purple plants. This calibrachoa comes in many other colors. The plant lasts a long time, well into fall when other flowers have given out. It does require some care. I pinch off the dead flowers so the plant keeps growing new ones. The plant has nice long trailing stems. It is a delicate flower but can be so easily staged by putting the long trails along the sides of the hanging planter. It doesn't require a lot of water, but is worth the care. 1|1|My favoirte..primrose....|soccer_mom|jhowarth@wiley.com|06:29:51|06/13/2013|

not sure if it has an official name. But this flower is beautiful and spreads and grows back every year fuller and more beautiful. We got a handful from a relative many many many years ago and planted and they are now about ten times as many if not more and every end of May early June here they just pop up this beautiful yellow small primrose. It makes you love the beginning of summer and every year it is almost like a happy surprise when you see them all bloom. They only last a few weeks but what a lovely happy flower. 6|2|I am curious to know, do you live in a mild climate? I always ask my kids to get me a new one each Xmas - red, pink or white. They set them out for gifts at Xmas - comes in a box with just a bulb, pot and "soil". I plant it and usually by the end of January I have a beautiful lily that has two to four blooms on the stalk. I set it out in the pot, or it can be put in the ground once spring arrives. The ones in the pot I leave out for the "killing frost" then set it away in the dark till January so it can bloom again in the middle of the dreary winter. The ones in the ground will bloom in summer with the rest of the lilies. 5|1|butterfly bushes~Whisteria anything|kawanti|kawanti7@yahoo.com|10:32:35|06/13/2013|

house I had a lot more flowers. I have a patio and do container gardening now. It is amazing how many flowers do well in pots. My purple petunia is doing great. I learned with that one, the root system really takes over and is so compacted in the soil, that I Have to put the plants in larger pots. 8|1|now that I think about it my very favorite is the Iris|LindaOH|Martinl3@roadrunner.com|17:33:40|06/13/2013|

I have to say that Lilacs are my favorite as there's nothing more relaxing & soothing than having the awesome smell of Lilacs wafting thru the open windows. Such a bummer tho that they don't last for more than a couple weeks. :(
Hyacinths are a close 2nd for their aroma & Morning Glorys would be next for their beauty.

Smile... it makes people wonder what you're up to!

I have these growing all over my yard, I love the fact that they multiply so fast and you can just keep dividing them up. I sell those and hostas every spring to fund my summer gardening. I love walking around in the evening and taking off the spent blooms.

Love these plants for their lasting, big colored flowers. I have the old variety, "Nikko Blue." You can vary the coloring by adjusting the ph of the soil. The more acidic makes blue blooms, akaline makes pink. I have some that are a very pretty purple. :)

I also love lilac and lavender for the lovely scents.

...I have a huge bed of these flowers in my yard that have bloomed for 16 years now. My late grandmother used to have these along the entire front of her house. They looked absolutely beautiful when they were blooming. These flowers normally bloom in July or August, set seeds which fall to the ground, thereby ensuring that more flowers come up next year. And although the information listed below tells us that Tiger Lilies do not set seeds, I have to disagree with this -- as mine always set black round seeds which can be collected before they fall to the ground, to regrow more lilies somewhere else.
