My drs appt is tommorow...but i read the symptoms and i am having similar issues...i thought all the neuropathy was stinging burning pain or pins and needles..it also cause out right pain..i do have like a tingleing sensation sometimes in my feet especailly noticable at night when i am resting..the pain is 24/7 though i have heard lyrica is a good options but it causes a lot of weight gain which i can not have happen because im already really obese...what have u tried and what is working for you..where did u get a diagnoses? do i need nuerologist? or just a foot specialist? what do u think?

I take 900 mg of gabapentin(generic) 3 x a day. Very similar to Lyrica.
Also I take cymbalta. It is an anti depressant that helps with nerve pain.

i went to the specialist he said the 2 screws that i have on the inside of my ankle (from a fall in 1994 i have a metal plate and 9 screws on the outside of my ankle and 2 on the inside) are working them selves out...so i have to have surgery to remove them..I also was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy i was given a lotion for pain relief...it works very little...im makingan appt with a pain specialist im hoping they can help it hurts a lot and my legs feel so weighted etc i have to get some relief :( i cant take NSAIDs in any way my stomach lining is already messed up from using them...prayers needed thank you (((huggss))
