they purchased my auction and now refuse to pay because they thought the shipping was only gonna be $12-$13 dollars. the shipping is $21. the box weighs 16lbs. why would they think a good sized auction would be that cheap to ship???? I wish. it says specifically its to be shipped priority as all my auctions have been lately. what should I do??

I am horribly sorry, I did not realize that it would be that much. I bid $25 because I have limited funds. I NEVER thought it would be almost as much as the bid to ship. I thought there was a cheaper way that people sent packages. My mistake, an honest mistake. I am no trying to cause any problems, I just don't have the extra money. I have been a and have member for years and have ALWAYS had positive feedback. I do not know what more I can do. I cannot send what I do not have, I have received other packages that did not cost that much to ship, so I am sorry if I was clueless on the cost. Here in MN we have a delivery compamy that delivers mainly to states surrounding us---it's very reasonable pricing. That'd be a route to go if it's in your states.

could you just relist the whole thing ( or give to the next highest bidder) that really is a large amount for shipping. I simply stated it was more than I could afford and wanted to cancel. I should have the right to cancel, since even ebay allows you to and amazon as well. It was a mistake and I admit I was in the wrong. I DID not pay attention to how much the PRIORITY shipping costs. and honestly I would have never bidded had I known. I did not even want the food items, I just planned on donating them to the church. At this point I just want to back out completely and take whatever negative feedback I have to. I will not bid on anymore auctions unless the shipping rate is already stated, or it goes cheapest (if I even try at all) I am not well and do not need the extra stress. I have been trying to protect my good name on here but if I have to just leave the boards that is fine as well. I have traded with several wonderful people and hope to continue to do so but I would rather just cancel this auction bid. I would have worked something out with the person if the situation was reversed. I would not give a store my business if they made me feel that way. It is easier to just leave the board if need be. This could have been worked out if "both" of you had been willing to budge just a tiny bit "each". Kam I can really sympathize with your sticker shock, on the shipping. A month or so ago, I advertised a sheet set for 5.00, and when I went to price the shipping it was 8.91. Not in a million years did I think it was so expensive. There was NO WAY I could ask the person buying the sheets to pay that much for shipping. So I payed a couple dollars of the shipping, and only made 3.00 on the sheets. This was fine with me. Never even mentioned the actual shipping to trader. So I could see being on a very tight budget, where this could overwhelm you. despite bad economy, they continue to go up in price. Example, couple months ago, I ordered several small trees/plants from West Coast company (I live on East Coast). Shipping for this order was for $59.00 which I thought was high enough. I get email couple days ago that shipping is now $129.00 more on top of $59.00 ($188.00 total shipping)! I was totally shocked and told them it's just absolutely outrageous and cancelled this order. It's just crazy!
