Hubby has been checking into it a little bit. I don't know if it would work for us cuz our internet connection isn't that great. We are pretty much tired of paying Dish $70 a month for not much to watch, though, that is for sure!! 2|2|Joy, here is some information that might help you. |cashcoll|cashcoll@yahoo.com|15:19:40|04/04/2013|

Omni-Directional Antenna, this is what we have, the TV station gave one to Todd a couple of years ago and it works great. We didn't put it outside, he put it in the attic above were the TV is in the living room. It works just as good inside and it is also protected from the outside weather.

The rabbit ears wouldn't do as good, mainly cuz you would be adjusting them all the time. We also have ROKU and use Netflix.

Here is some info on Omni-Directional Antenna: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omnidirectional_antenna

Here a place to order one and Amazon also has them as well as Radio Shack, http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk722/tk809/technologies_tech_note09186a00807f34d3.shtml

We can't get satellite cuz of all the woods and trees here and we won't pay the ridiculous amt. for cable so Rabbit Ears it has been for 12 years..!

Keep your friends close but your enemies closer.. Michael Corleone 5|2|Melinda, our cable is ridiculous...it's about $150 a month, and we do not pay for movie channels/premium channels....the only extra fees we have are for two remote boxes ($5 a month each) for the boys' tvs in their rooms....and I watch way more tv online at Netflix than I do on cable.|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|07:18:58|04/05/2013|

4|1|Thanks for the info Teresa, but I'm not looking to use 'rabbit ears' or an antennae of any kind. :) There was a commercial for a device called The Rabbit...it looks like a flash drive you put in your computer, and then you connect the computer to the television....still digital television, and the commercial says there are over 100 channels. Rather than reading all their promotional stuff on the website, I thought I'd see if anyone else uses/used it to get the real story, lol :)|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|07:17:09|04/05/2013|

we have wildblue and it would eat up your data allowance..same thing if u have hughesnet or anything like it....u would

have to have something like at&t..or such.....where u arent limited to a certain amount of usage 7|3|I have Comcast for internet....I think there is some kind of 'limit' but it's so ridiculously high that no one ever exceeds it, unless they are trying to run a 'pirated' video site off it or something 'iffy' like that....|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|09:38:23|04/05/2013|

My friend has it and she said it only takes you to sites that you can already find on the internet by yourself. Like if you want South Park, It will take you to Comedy Central or if you want Grey's it take you right to ABC channel online. 9|5|Thank you! :) That's the kind of info I was looking for.....something they won't tell you straight up in their advertising!|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|07:58:15|04/08/2013|
