She was diagnosed w/lung cancer last fall. She was only able to have 2 chemo treatments due to either a low red blood cell count, pneumonia or running a fever. The cancer has since spread into her other lung, her stomach & now her brain.
She signed up w/hospice Sat. & prognosis is very grim - drs. say 2 wks., if that. My mom & I went to see her yesterday & a hospice nurse was there for a much needed new re-evaluation. A non-emergency ambulance will be coming this morning to take her to the hospital til an opening comes up in a nursing home. As much as she wants to be home, it is just not possible as she's too weak to even walk much less take care of herself & her mentally ill son who lives w/her. She has 4 adult boys & there is so much squabbling between them that only 2 of the 4 are communicating w/each other, & 2 of them haven't seen their mom in 5 yrs., since their dad's funeral. Then there's the squabbling & bickering amongst my aunt's siblings. It's a very heartbreaking situation. My aunt doesn't deserve this.
Please pray for them, that my aunt finds comfort & peace, & that the squabbling ends for her sake.

Thank you all for the prayers, hugs, good thoughts.... I had told her I had friends all over the U.S. praying for her so she did know that & had said, "Bless their hearts".
She hadn't eaten or drank anything in over 4 days, not much talking at all. Last night & this morning were very bad for her, very restless & just not able to get comfortable despite meds to help. She'd been in good spirits & fought the good fight. Now, hopefully she's at peace & rest.
