Typo in Macy's Ad Caused Huge Stir
A typo in a Macy’s ad led people to think a $1500 necklace was on sale for $47 dollars. HLN reported a 9 was left off the necklace price in the ad. It was supposed to be priced at $479. WFAA said people were buying all the necklaces in stock. The Inquisitr says Macy’s eventually realized the error and placed signage alerting customers a mistake had been made. The company can not do anything about any necklace that has already been taken home, but it has canceled all orders for the $47 necklace.
