I add some water (1.5 cups) and close the lid and test with a meat therm. Crockpots vary and it depends on the size of the breast also. You won't get brown crispy skin but we don't eat the skin anyway.
I also do this with ham. I put pineapple slices on the bottom of crockpot, put ham on top, you can stick cloves in the ham for flavor and then I pour all the pineapple juice over the ham and cook on low till its heated inside..I find the ham to be very moist and delicious and carefree cooking..The juice is wonderful ! Some like to sprinkle with brown sugar and you can do that too!

Keep your friends close but your enemies closer.. Michael Corleone 2|1|I've not done a turkey, but when I roast chicken in the crockpot, I ball up aluminum foil about fist sized, and put several on the bottom of the crockpot to suspend the chicken off the bottom surface....it keeps it from 'stewing' in the drippings as it cooks, and allows for the heat to circulate on the underside a bit. I dont know if foil balls would support the weight of a turkey, but maybe you have some small ramikin dishes or similar you could use instead....|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|07:05:05|03/30/2013|

my DH has talked me out of doing it tomorrow as he says you do not want
to attempt anything new with company so I agreed but I will do it for
just us and I really like that ham idea and I can see getting the meat out of the drippings
and I think that would make for better taste
