We have a friend that just found out she has Stage 4 colon cancer. They do not have any insurance. Right now they are selling things just to pay for the Dr. bills. She had lost her job 2 yrs ago & finally got hired, now lost her job again due to the cancer. Any info would be accpeted. We live in Pa.
Thanks,
seahawk
I did look up things on the internet to get started. They cannot get assistance from welfare either. It's very hard to get it here.

In Altoona, there is Partnering for Health, a free clinic but you must have a denial notice from medicaid to be seen. They do not take medicaid, only those without insurance. 4|1|I live in Bethlehem, Pa.|seahawk|Seahawks57@aol.com|20:21:29|03/04/2013|

There is some free programs, but they only help some people. It's tough here. I have been surfing the internet looking for them also.
Thanks,
Sharon 5|1|The social worker at the hospital should be able to give your friend all of the resource information that she would need. If your friend is admitted to the hospital, they will usually help with the paperwork for Medicaid, home health aids, etc. Note that if your hospital isn't friendly that way, the squeakly wheel gets things done. Don't be afraid to ask and ask again.|Ranalt|ainebailey@gmail.com|20:46:03|03/04/2013|
