The nurses stay right there with you when they inject it and it makes you feel really strange, head gets all hot and I almost started crying, they had to reverse it on me. They gave me another injection of something to reverse it a min or so later. Just let them know how you are feeling. Plan to be there quite a while. first I remember them giving me something to drink and then you had to wait a long long time. Then you go on the treadmill while hooked up to something and you run while they stand next to you..and I think they take your ekg/heart rate and pressure. It was a long time ago, probably ten years or so, when I was going to start long distance running to be sure everything was okay. Hours but except for the time, there was no discomfort of any type.
