I made a trade with brighteyes for skylanders. My two boys are now very into it and she was trading hers for $5 each.
We finally agreed on three she was going to send me. I will post them b/c it's easier... prism break, spyro and stump smash.
I sent her $15 in paypal and she was going to tell me how much postage would be and then I would pay her that as well after.
But then that night my son told me we already have stump smash. So I emailed her right away and said I didn't need it but if she already sent it that's fine. She said she had it sealed but not sent and she would open it up and take that one out. This was confirmed in her email to me that I did NOT want stump.
She refunded the difference between what I sent her ($15) and what the 2 skylanders cost ($10) plus shipping ($2.24) in paypal.
I got the package yesterday. She sent me Spyro and Stump.
I emailed her today to tell her that. She got all defensive and said that's what I ordered. I sent her our email traffic saying I clearly did NOT order that and you knew it. After some back and forth I realized she might not even know what Stump looks like. So I told her. And she said her son must have made a mistake. Fine.
Originally after all this back and forth I told her to forget the whole thing that I would send back both but she has to refund the shipping (at least 1/2 for the wrong thing) but then she said I was being hurtful and why didn't I want at least Spyro. So I felt bad and said okay. I'll keep Spyro but please refund my $5 for the one you didn't send. And my $1 (1/2 the shipping I paid originally) since she sent the wrong one and now $1.xx for the shipping it's going to cost to send this one back to her.
She THEN said...she has to wait for her son to come home to confirm it's the wrong one and that she won't refund my money til she gets the other one back.
That did it. I sent her an email telling her to forget the whole thing AGAIN and that I want my $10 back for the two, and 1/2 the shipping and 1/2 the shipping for what I'm sending back. Good grief. JUST ADMIT YOU WERE WRONG! And then suck it up and pay the shipping. But how many different ways can I tell her she sent the wrong thing???
Now, I am second guessing all this b/c I have a bad feeling I will send her these two back with no money back and then she'll get them and make up some excuse and I won't get my money back at all. I'm thinking to just hold on to these..call it a day...and be out $5 for the wrong one.

1st I am going to give my opinion of the correct way to handle this trade. Clearly the seller (brighteyes) sent the wrong item, so the buyer (Jilda) is due a refund for the incorrect item and the shipping costs to have it mailed back...also a good trader should at least offer to pay 1/2 the postage it cost to ship the package.
Now onto feedback, I rarely (if ever) check feedback before a trade, but looks like we all need to start checking and trade cautiosly when there are several negative comments.
Jilda you have been a member since 2003 with 363 perfect feedback, Brighteyes has been a member since 2004, 149 feedback with roughly 20 negative and another 20 of brighteyes defending herself and calling everyone liars. That speaks volumes!
Sad that you have to be out the cost of the wrong item, but I definately wouldn't return it until I had a refund for the item and postage costs.
And be sure to post feedback!

I asked for 2 C K Mondavi forms @ $1.25. I got an email back from Li asking me my boardname. I don't know why she needed this because I am sending paypal. Well, I sent my board name back and have not heard from her. Evidently, I am not worth trading with. Now, after reading all the issues you ladies have, I guess my Guardian Angel was looking out for me.
I will not ask for another trade with this person!

I make mistakes too....did so this week!! Someone wanted coupons I thought I had many of..when I realized I only had 1/2 of what she needed, I returned her pp sent th 1/2 and an additional 10 coupons she ordered RAOK. Did I have to go over the top? Nope...but it was my error and my generous reaction has her happy with me and likely to trade again. Had you (Lola) apologized, offered the right item and the postage you would have solved the problem...done No crazy posts in GC....NO bad feedback. ETC... AND may I recommend NOT Selling items you aren't familiar with enough to know which ones to mail? They ARE labelled with their names on them....but if you are relying on someone else you need to accept if the other trader complains they got the wrong item. YOU don't know if it is right or not.....but your byer does. I can't imagine arguing about something you can't even say is the right item or not. MY point being.....errors CAN happen...fixing them well and promptly is VERY important to your reputation. This fiasco against your reputation isn't worth the few $$ you were out due to your error. OH, and I moderate a board where MANY of the members meet me in the store and have stopped by my house to pick up coupons. Just being on the internet alone makes a person susceptible to hackers & backdoor trojan horse viruses that can get into your computer & find out ALL your info, from your NAZ & email address/Inbox to your passwords & any banking info you do online.
There are so many sites & ways to find out where just about anyone lives. Spokeo & Google Maps are just 2 of them. ANYONE can find out where someone lives just by the email address alone. And this site is a public forum where ANYONE can view the posts w/names & email addresses, profiles. If you want privacy, you're not going to get it here. Sheesh!

She had 4 $5 meat forms listed to trade for a number of things on her wishlist so I sent her an email and offered her Little Debbie coupons for the forms she had. I also asked her how many coupons she wanted for the forms (so I was essentially let her sent the # of coupons I was going to send her). She emails he back and says that she now only has 2 forms. That's the only thing written in the email except that she hasn't heard from me in a while.
I got another email later that day asking what my user name is (As most of you know, I always included my user name, real name and address in my first email to traders). I email back my user name for a second time. Later that night, I got a 3rd email from her telling me she doesn't want the Little Debbie coupons but wants Paypal. I would rather not send money and postage for just 2 forms because it's not worth my time.
I told her I found the forms elsewhere and so today this is the email I got:

My 1st email to her was YESTERDAY AFTERNOON (not days ago like she mentioned so rudely in her email to me). She had the wrong amount of forms listed in her post, the coupons listed her NO longer wants and then tells me I had her on hold for this trade for days. I'm done with her. I always try to trade quickly and politely but she doesn't feel the same way.
