DH and I went to a comedy show downtown. As we were walking down the street from the parking lot to the club, I found a credit/debit card on the ground. I picked it up and figured I'd toss it in the mail in the morning. This was a really busy area, we passed three restaurants, a pub and a bar between the lot and where the show was, so it could have been dropped by somebody going to any of these.
After the show, DH offered to go get the car and drive it up for me, so I didn't have to walk in the snow and cold. While I was waiting for him, a guy and his girlfriend came up to the bar and were talking with the owner. They couldn't pay their bill because he had lost his credit card and they didn't have any cash, and since it was his debit card he couldn't go to an ATM and get money, was all upset trying to figure out what to do, the bartender was being difficult, saying you have to pay now, send her for money. He had pulled out his wallet and was writing down his name. I looked over and it was the name on the card I had found. I pulled it out and handed it to him. He and his girlfriend were so excited and happy, they kept hugging me, wanted to buy me a drink or take me to dinner at the restaurant next door. I was done for the night, told them to have fun and then DH pulled up and we drove away.
So if I had walked with DH instead, this poor couple would have spent the night trying to get somebody to bring them cash to pay their bill, and freak out over the lost card. But because my DH was being a sweetie, I just happened to be waiting right there at the right time.

Godwinks..LOVE their true stories like this. I read it all the time on Facebook. Just do a search on FB for it. God works in mysterious ways doesn't He? He is a awesome God! :)
