rain is blowing sideways - our sidewalk looks like a dam with water on either side of it. Our field (we live in the country) slopes away from the house (beautiful sight) and now it looks like a creek/river running through it. It has been SO DRY here that our pond for our cattle was only knee deep - now it is almost full. But, this is too much rain all at once. They have tornado watches all around here - saying it will get worse later in the day. It is going towards KY and TN - so you all keep a watch out.

And the wind is supposed to kick up for blowing & drifting snow. The Winter Storm Warning we're currently under may very well be changed to a Blizzard Warning. This on top of the 40° temps we've had yesterday & today that thankfully melted all the ice away from the mixed up mess of snow/freezing rain/sleet we got Sun. Temps are supposed to start dropping tonight so all the standing water from the melt-down will freeze under the snow. Yikes!
The weather here this year is just nuts! I am SOOOOO ready now for spring. LOL

Hard to tell how much for sure cuz the wind picked up this afternoon & really started whipping the snow around. Some businesses even shut down. Parts of highways were closed for awhile as well today due to bad drifting & the plows not being able to keep up w/it repeatedly blowing across the road. Don't know if they're open again yet or not.
Seemed like it was a good foot or 2 that had fallen by noon when I had to go out & clear my driveway & shovel off the deck. Sheesh! And the wind is blowing snow back across my driveway. :-p
