Ok I bought the Groupon for Toys R Us, $10 for $20 Groupon. I went to the store and bought 2 items for a total cost of $20.XX
One of the items I bought is very cheaply made (TRU brand). It's a little dolly bed. It's so loose, the legs won't stay together and falls into a heap. The cost was $12.00
I went to return it and they would only exchange for the same item. I said that item is a piece of junk and its ok if they won't give cash back, but I think I should get a store credit for the value of it. They won't do it.
They said the Groupon is a coupon and not a gift card so they will take the item back but give me nothing for it.
I maintain that I bought the Groupon and so should be given the opportunity to exchange the item I bought for another item of the same price.
What do you think?

1|1|I think you should be able to get a GC or an exchange of another item the same cost. Contact their corp first and if no satisfaction, contact Groupon.|Barb09|Barb0969@AOL.com|01:14:55|12/09/2012|
I looked and looked and found no coupons for troll food......SO, I don't feed the trolls!! 2|2|Return to another location without the receipt requesting a store credit. This is another solution.|Barb09|Barb0969@AOL.com|01:15:44|12/09/2012|

They require a receipt PERIOD. The cashier made that PERFECTLY CLEAR, in case I didn't hear her.
I wrote to Groupon but got no response.
Oh well, never doing Groupon again.
