WARNING!--DO NOT read this if you have a quesy stomach!! Just putting that out there first. Ok..my ex worked for the past year or longer at a facility that does the meat for Subway. He just moved back here..had visitation in my home with the girls yesterday..and as he was leaving stopped and looked at what I was cooking (was making home made fajitias for supper)and the chicken I was cooking prompted this info. Here comes the icky part so beware..
He said don't eat the chicken at Subway and he doesn't allow his family to eat there any longer. Said the beef and turkey are OK..but kinda hesitant when saying that..as they are 'fresh' BUT the chicken...it comes in frozen...often over a year old from freezer so not in good shape and he has seen dead lizards, nails, you name it in the chicken as they get it for processing. Ugghh. Where IS the health inspection on this stuff?!!
Anyhoo..makes me ill just thinking of it. Just thought I would warn everyone on this as I would want to know. Just gross and disgusting..

Not too long ago I had a sandwich that had rotten meat in it. It was nasty. Eeek is right!

I just can't stomach eating there anymore.

Looks like we don't have anyone who really protects us with regard to the food we eat. All I hear is that they are all under staffed and under paid. 2|1|i do not eat subway at all. my favorite is mike jeresy's sub which is very excellent food better than subway.|Lorey12|Lorey12@yahoo.com|16:21:54|11/04/2012|

They slice the meat and cheese right in front of you. The tuna is white albacore and the tuna salad is made fresh daily.

All their food is fresh.

(similar to Arby's) and he said that they received plastic bags full of gelatinous (sp) liquid and they "cooked" this liquid in the bags and then put the cooled "meat" onto a meat slicer and sliced the "meat" very thin for sandwiches. He would NEVER eat this "meat".

Apparently they didn't rotate the meats they keep in buckets... so we must have gotten old meat from the bottom! We were so sick for days! 6|1|Makes A person wonder what else they feed us|LindaOH|Martinl3@roadrunner.com|08:42:48|11/05/2012|

...has anyone seen the new commercials from Arby's? The commercial shows a man at a Subway drive-thru window, asking the cashier if they sliced their meats fresh, and did they have a slicer. The cashier told the man "no, they didn't use a slicer"...so the man left a big meat slicer for Subway in the drive-thru window. There are a couple other similar commercials from Arby's, with the theme that Arby's beef is fresh and is sliced there in the restaurant, not pre-sliced at a far-away processing plant and then shipped in to sandwich shops like Subway.

10|1|Ok, I'm gonna say this about Quiznos... I have audited them and I will not eat there either....|glennie58|glenn_scott@alumni.ksg.harvard.edu|22:33:42|11/16/2012|
