I usually talk to her during the week and I have not been able
to get in touch with her and wanted to know if anyone knew
if she was in the path of the storm

my daughter lives in NJ and still no power since Sandy hit. She called tonight to say it may be another week before they get power...unbelievable! Thankfully she has a big generator for backup. HTH, Sharon:)

on latest update and tells me people are fighting/beating eachother up at some gas stations. State troopers have been deployed at all gas stations along the NJ Turnpike and Garden State Parkway, where dwindling gasoline supplies are causing frayed nerves as the region endures its third full day with massive power outages. Seaside Heights is under martial law curfew....meaning if anyone doesn't comply will be shot. This is just a preview of what's to come the longer power is out, not being able to get food, etc. I am extremely upset seeing all this as I used to live in NJ all my life (on the shore) until moving to NH in 2010. My previous home is underwater/flooded...my heart goes out to all my neighbors there. I realize it'll take awhile for some semblence of normalcy for those affected, but I pray the recovery & restoration efforts are quicker & the people will find a way to come together to help each other out instead of fighting against each other when they're all in their time of need. They were able to do this on Sept. 11, 2001 & I hope they can find their way back together to do it again now.
