Saw the doctor again today because on a scale of 1 - 10 my pain is a 20! It looks like I'm going to need surgery again to fix this one. There are little stitches and screws they put all around the edges of the mesh to hold it into place and they feel may have gone into a nerve... which is why I'm in so much pain. So we are going to have to go back to the open me up and remove the mesh and start over! So back to the worst case scenario... but the pain I'm in in unacceptable and no medications are relieving the pain. I can't even make it the bathroom. The nurse is going to see if there is some way to get a catheter put in so I don't have to try and run to the bathroom anymore. I just can't handle it. I so need to get home soon so I can try to make money to pay the bills.... I don't know what I'm going to do if I can't get home soon! UGH!!
The doctor wants to try and have someone in pain management come in to inject the nerve for now... but I just want it fixed! No screwing around and not trying to deaden a nerve that I might need one day in my groin!
Wish me luck. I'm so going to need it!

They doubled the pain medicine for the nerves, haven't seen a difference yet and I'm on a morphine button... which does no good on the nerve pain. He thinks it's the stitches that hold the mesh in place that are the problem. So he suggested opening those wounds back up on the top two stitches and removing them which SHOULD relieve the pain to the nerves. I told him I don't care what he does, even if he has to go in and open it all up to fix it... he just needs to get it done because right now I'm a 40 year old woman who can't walk or get to the restroom. I want it done right away and I want to be home recovering..not sitting in the hospital trying to figure out what to do. He said he would do something by the weekend...
I'm miserable right now and want to be home with my kids... Oh... and they have me on saline, so now I have to get up every couple hours to use the restroom.... the restroom that is too painful to stand! But they won't put in a catheter because it might cause a infection. Forget about the infection! What about the pain!
