my oldest is in 10th grade and was telling me today he got his bathroom pass from his english teacher
each kid has a nickname and thier name on the passes
well kendalls is barbie kendall spangler
i do not know why the man does that to kids inappropriate i feel
boy when he told me that and i told hubby we both got HOT under the collar
so i was wanting some feedback on this on how to handle this situation

Talk to your son first and make sure he wants you to do or say anything. I have learn many things I get mad about my son could care less and just makes for a bigger problem in the long run. If he is ok with you saying something I would email the teacher first. Unless you son already said something then I'd email the principal.
there should be a no tolerance for that in the school but teachers are human and can be as nasty as anyone else. Would hate for there to be bigger problems because you didnt talk to the teacher first and just went over his head. We have had numerous problems like that at football I went to head coach and instead of the problem coach first.

IN JR HIGH SCHOOL I HAD A ART TEACHER WHO THOUGHT IF YOU REALLY HAD TO GO TO THE BATHROOM YOU WOULD DO ANYTHING TO GET THERE SO HE MADE THIS "THING" OUT OF WOOD (A VERY HEAVY WOOD) IT WAS KIND OF SHAPED LIKE A LARGE BARBELL (WEIGHT)
(-------) THEN HE ATTACHED A VERY HEAVY CHAIN FROM ONE END OF IT TO THE OTHER. SO YOU KIND OF CARRIED IT BY THE CHAIN OR SOME KIDS HAD TO DRAG IT DOWN THE HALL BECAUSE IT WAS THAT HEAVY. HIS THEORY WAS "LUG" THIS WOODEN THING TO THE BATHROOM & EVERYONE YOU PASSED IN THE HALLWAY KNEW WHERE YOU WERE HEADED OR "HOLD IT" UNTIL HIS CLASS WAS OVER.

A teacher should always do their best to build up self esteem in all their students. Labeling them or embarassing them in front of others is extremely bad for all the students.
