Hi Everyone,
I ran a special yesterday and surprising no one either was not
interested or never went to check out what I had. I'm hoping
you girls will take time and check out what I have and maybe
even send me feedback of what you think. I've never had a Website
with items to sell this is new. But if anyone has any pointers or
suggestions I'm open to all.
Thanks,
Carol

I know everyone is struggling but I thought with a special it might
attract someone.
3|1|I have looked at your site several times. Most of your items target a certain audience as they are collectables. Most of what I look for are items for my daughter. Toys, inexpensive clothing, or new plush toys, that I can get cheap for Christmas. Have tried advertising your site to friends on Facebook? Perhaps you need to find more people to look. ALso you have LOTS of baseball cards, and stamps. Maybe search, and find some blogs to join. You may be able to promote you site, to a specific audience, who captive, to those items. Just some thoughts. Best of luck. |dlpavitt|dlpavitt@att.net|14:55:01|09/23/2012|

If you are a HONEST trader, there is nothing to fear in having a feedback link. If you do not have one, please set one up, BEFORE contacting me for a trade. If you insist on not having a feedback link, please do not contact me to trade. Feedback links protect all of us, on RS. Thanks for understanding. I know what your saying. I'm not to smart when it comes to computers.
I don't know the first thing about blogging.
But my son is on facebook and is pushing it for me and I was
just speaking to him when I read your info. He knew what you were
talking about and will work on it for me. I just figured I had
traded with so many of the girls when I use to do coupons that
maybe the girls on here can help me spread the word about my website.
I agree money is really tight. We only have a SS checks and a disability
check to live on which right now just covers are expenses leaving us a few dollars
between the checks. Mine disability comes in in the beginning of the month which
pays most of my rent .And his comes in the middle of the month which I have to take
so much out of that and put it aside to pay the first of the month bills and his covers
the other bills. In fact we lost our house because we couldn't keep up the morgage payments.
I don't have any chldren so I can't help you out. But I appreciate the advice
and you stopping by to look.
Thanks,Carol

it is really stuff that a specific collector would be looking for. I also look for gently used items for my kids, gently used toys and new toys that I can use for xmas gifts, etc. My daughter is not now and never was into Barbie... and if she does want one occassionally which is very rare, I usually find them on clearance super cheap. But she usually never plays with them after I buy one.

I also sell stuff on Ebay and I'm finding that stuff that usually sells, no one is even looking at these days... they only want it if you are giving it a way and I can't afford to not make anything on a item. I just think people don't have money to spend on stuff these days.

My husband and I have had to really cut back, it's hard to just get through to the end of the month with the normal bills and we have decent jobs with decent salaries, but everything is just too expensive these days (keep in mind we have had ongoing medical expensives for 5 years plus for my son and I which eat up a lot of our normal funds). I don't know how families with one income make it these days. Our mortgage alone is $1200 a month for a little house and $500-$600 a month of that amount is just taxes and insurance! The rates have gotten ridiculous. 10 years ago my insurance was $660 a year on the house... now with all the increases and regulations it's over $3500 a year and I don't have a big house, it's a crappy little 1200 square foot house worth about $100,000 that needs a lot of work! I can't afford to work on it anymore.

I also have to pay $400 a month just have afterschool care for my kids so that I can work!

Today I even went to a local store that buys used kids clothing and I brought a bunch of nice stuff to them, because the clothes I used to sell on ebay isn't selling like it used to. I brought them a entire box of clothes, shoes and books, they took most of it and gave me $36.99 in cash in return. I would have easily made 5 times this amount on ebay with this stuff years ago. This will be my gas money and money for essentials until pay day.

Now I'm off to bake cookies and make cereal treats for my kids snacks at school for the week. I can make cookies and treats much less expensive than buying them in the store anymore! Thanks for letting me vent. I would suggest finding some trading boards for collectibles so you can find a wider audience for your items. Ebay also offers 50 free auctions a month these days as long as you don't have a store. So you pay nothing to them unless your item sells. I'm actually considering closing my ebay store and just doing the 50 per month at this point. 6|2|Thanks also Laurie for you feedback|qponlady|qponlady@ptd.net|17:38:18|09/23/2012|
