i was recently in eastern ky...learned that ALOT of people are using the p&g high dollar cps on LOTS of other products
they are matching the codes on the coupon.......to other products with same code..and they are using for example.....a $2 coupon for gain crystals..on a pack of charmin....thus
getting it for free.... or using a $5 P&g on a large pack of charmin....or shampoo......all this is done at self checks....as long as the cp scans.....they use it
now i know why some trade for big amounts of high dollar cps.......and are able to set up at flea markets,yardsales and such and make hundreds of dollars on products
all this is,,,,,,,,is another way to ruin couponing for the rest of us...........

vickie 10|7|It is almost no longer doable. I will explain. I don't do it...but it isn't new information. On the OLD bar codes (not the new ones...that is why we got the new codes, they are dealing with the cheaters)...anyway, There are 2 sets of 4 numbers on the old bar codes. For example 21000, or 44000. Those are the manufacturer codes....21000 is Kraft (mostly the actual cheese/dairy products) 44000 is Nabisco. SOME STORES (not all) the registers would match those 5 number with the items and not look further in the coding for the actual matching item. (like cheese vs. mac n cheese for example)...all it would look for is A KRAFT item. SOoooo, people with their own special brand of ethics would claim it is ok to use them on the products not intended by the wording because the coupons scan and don't alert the cashier. The same with P&G. Their first 5 numbers would work on any product that has those first 5 numbers on the product. more people are using coupons before the show I never saw people with binders here. Now I see them all over and they try to look like they know what they are doing. Since every store here doubles except Hannaford more people would use them. Hence less to trade as no extra papers. Since you can print coupons every place online why trade. When I print I flip the paper over and get 2 on 1 page. Even with more coupons out there most of them are not that good anymore.

I found peelies on pop tarts at dollar general a few months ago, 25/1, was shocked to see any pop tart coupon off of one. I miss the good loreal coupons too, for the regular shampoos and conditioners, trying to find a deal on the everpure right now but miss the .75/1 loreal vive coupons. 20|1|I agree with OP.
