The only store I seem to have a problem with using coupons is Walgreens. My DH almost forbids me to go there because he is afraid my head is going to explode from going there. He went fishing today so I went there to get the Stayfree for $1.99 which is on their ad this week. I bougt two Altoids and three Stayfree for which I had three $2.00 coupons from todays papers. It all started when the nice young cashier couldn't get the register to accept the $2.00 coupons. The line behind me was already six deep when she calls the manager over. The manager tells me it is agains't the law to give me a penny overage. I didn't care about a penny. She says she will let me buy three packages but will only let me use two coupons. I was not going to pay $1.97 for something that should be free and did she really think that this was happening at every Walgreens all over the country today? She said no way was any Walgreens going to honor the $2.00 coupons. Okay, my head was starting to feel likje it was going to explode. I told her to take off the Stayfree and give me my coupons back which she did. She then dediced that if I really wanted the Stayfree she would charge me $2.00 each then use the coupons which I did. Maybe I should start listening to my DH. 1|1|I just point out that the ad says $1.99 and shows $1.99 as the coupon and they always adjust the coupon down to $1.99 and take it off manually.|bluh2oeyes|bluh2oeyes@yahoo.com|18:17:21|08/26/2012|

I just point out that the ad says $1.99 and shows $1.99 as the coupon and they always adjust the coupon down to $1.99 and take it off manually. Or if this is not spelled out in their ad I just spell it out for them calm and simply. Most of the Wags stores here already know that but I did have to educate one several weeks back and it was very easy as the Mgr was a man and he didn't want to have anything to do with Stayfree. (LOL!) I just stated that the item was on sale for $1.99 and I only wanted $1.99 taken off as a coupon and that they could enter it manually as $1.99. No problem that is what the Mgr told the cashier to do and it all worked out fine. I just think they need a simple lesson in coupons. I've never found Wags to be non-coupon friendly once you discuss it with them and educate them. I've only had one real problem and that was when they first opened here many years back and a simple email to corporate with all the info worked. I got a phone call from the store manager in days and was asked to come back with my coupons to get my items and to pick up an "I'm sorry" gift. The "gift" was a $10 gift card. I went when the Mgr who called was on duty and it all worked out fine. I've not had a problem at that store since.

Maybe a quick friendly email to corporate with all the info and store info would help....it can't hurt.
