A lady from my area does a coupon article every week in the local paper and she has been on a couple of the news stations. She is having a coupon class tomorrow night at a local high school. Now, I have been couponing and rebating probably longer than she has been alive, but I thought I would go and see if she can teach me anything new. It did cost me $10 to attend but everyone gets coupons, goodie bag and refreshments plus there is going to be prize drawings and every a $100 gift card to a local convienence store. I figured I will get my money's worth, maybe learn something and maybe win something. Plus it gets me out of the house for a few hrs. foods, I can't use coupons except for laundry detergent, mouthwash etc. I prepare most all our foods from scratch due to additives which are unhealthy for us. Some people can stock pile if they have enough money, unfortunately we can't do that. Some areas have coupons off meat, produce etc. Wish we would get those here in Rochester NY. We do well shopping at two stores, buying what is on sale at both and use a lot of store brand names for plastic bags, kleenex etc. Sometimes not using coupons saves more money. and I already new everything that she had to say. I did get a couple of web sites to go to that is for local stores in my area that I did not know about. We got a goodie bag that had a free value meal from McDonald's, a couple of coupons for candy that can be doubled and make them free, a fly swatter, pen and pencil set, these all had the newspapers name on it. I did win a door prize which was a unbrella and a grill utensil set in a zippered bad. These both had the name of a local convenience store name on them since they were a sponsor. They had juice and cookies for refreshments. It was alot of fun. The lady doing the class is real upbeat and funny and had some great coupon stories. a fly swatter wow thats cool.we never have double cpns here in ca so savings are ok but really wish for the doubles.sounds like you had fun.
