this is the fuller the freezer the better it stays frozen. Also throw any heavy quilts and blankets over the freezer to help 'insulate' it. That helps keep the cold in longer as well. When we lost power in July and had to evacuate, my freezers all stayed frozen..even the Bomb Pops in the one freezer in the older fridge. Tossed the multiple blankets over the freezers. I cleaned out the fridges..not taking a chance with that stuff but even homemade ice cream we had put in clean small butter tubs remained frozen..I was amazed! 3|1|Check your Home Owner's Ins.|seahawk|Seahawks57@aol.com|00:30:23|08/02/2012|

When we lost power for 6 days. I lost everything in our freezer. My H.O.Ins. covered $500.00 & sent me a check for that amount. I did lose over $1,200 worth os items.
