As evidenced by people living in Colorado , Oklahoma , West Texas and South Texas, and New Mexico , and in ever-increasing areas like central Canada and in other parts of the country, the drought condition is reaching critical status; cattle are being auctioned off; crops have burned up; and drinking water is becoming a concern. Please join us in this prayer circle. Let’s make this one of the largest prayer circles ever. It will be as though everyone is holding hands around the world.
Dear Heavenly Father,
You said, ‘whensoever any two or more come together and agree and ask in Your Son's name, it shall be given’. We come to you, humbly, and ask that you bring down the rain to our parched lands. Our farmers and ranchers need it desperately, as well as our firefighters and market gardeners. We ask this all in Jesus' name. Amen.
Thank you Heavenly Father for hearing and granting our prayers for this.

to the drought I seen today. We got just a very few little sprinkles a bit ago but that is it. Not even enough to wet the stoop out front. Rumbling thunder heard off and on and the SE part of our county had flash flood warnings from a big storm moving thru down there but nothing here. Sky is black off and on but nothing so far. Feel bad for farmers and the wildlife as well. Nothing for them to eat. Never seen one single fawn this year either but lots of adults. Only had 2 baby barn swallows as well when we usually have a lot of them..just adults this year otherwise. Birds are clearing out the feeders within hours..literally. We had a light, 15 min. shower yesterday & another shower w/some t-storms early this morning, but I'm afraid it's no where near enough. We otherwise haven't had any significant rain since June 16th. Lawns are crispy brown & looking more & more like lawns in the desert states. W/everyone's elect. bill running high due to the heat, re-seeding is a much more affordable althernative to watering the lawns. Needless to say, the corn, soybean & hay crops are suffering as well. :(

The governor declared a state of emergency for 42 counties including ours. Our lawn is brown and even the weeds are dying off! When I got off work today it was 100 degrees and I noticed there were hardly any weeds to pull. Normally this time of year pulling weeds is a part time job, lol. We are in severe drought here as well. Very close to crops in our county being declared a total disaster. We own a lawn and landscape business and have not mowed/worked in 4 weeks due to the drought. We bought enough hay for the winter but are now feeding it in July - so we won't have enough to last the winter - so we are selling some cows this week. DH is absolutely so depressed I am really worried about him.

It's all over the news, how farmers are having to pay HUGE increases in the cost of hay and/or corn for their animals, and how entire crops are failing. HUGE INCREASES ARE PREDICTED in the cost of many foods due to so many things having CORN in them (i.e. corn syrup etc). Start stalking up, before you can't afford to! God bless us all. HTH.

It's terrible that this is so widespread, on this continent, and it is causing terrible hardship to so many. But, at least we are not in Africa! Can you imagine how those poor people live? We are SO blessed here.
