We were unsure of what to choose also but went with the Highmark plan where we pay $39. per month. We are going to check what our costs actually are with this plan and then can change to a different plan in October of this year or any year after that. We didn't go with the $0. plan because we would have had to pay a deductible of a little over $900. per year for each of us. We do see doctors, have blood tests and take prescription drugs so this seemed to maybe be the best for us. Call an insurance agent that sells the Advantage plans or go directly to the company that sells it and they can help you make a choice. We went to an agent and took all of our information and this is what we came up with. I only started it in July so really don't have any experience to talk about. DH is eligible in August. It is so confusing! 3|1|I do. I have MVP in Rochester NY. I like it as there is no premium on top of the amount medicare takes out of my|lv2qpon|jcummins1@rochester.rr.com|16:14:37|07/13/2012|

social security payment. I didn't sign up for prescription coverage as I would have to pay $100 a month each month and my prescriptions are only $100 a month. I also take over the counter medication and there is one presciption medicare doesn't cover. Did you get the medicare book that lists all the plans and companies in it? Look for the ones with the most stars. MVP and Blue Cross, Blue Shield are the most popular. Check out the benefits of each plan and what your copays will be. I just had blood work done, $351. I only had to pay $10.00. When I broke my hip and femur bones, my bills were $17,000. I only had to pay about
$500 to the hospital and copays for xrays etc. and for special bathroom equipment that is not covered. So what I had to pay is very little. I don't know if this coverage will change, but I am very happy with MVP. I hope my info helps you. 4|2|I meant to add that in addition to the $100 I would have to pay each month for prescriptions, I would also have to|lv2qpon|jcummins1@rochester.rr.com|16:22:25|07/13/2012|

pay the copays for the prescriptions so I would end up paying more. That is why I have a plan without prescription coverage. Hopefully that won't change, but if it does, I can always add that to my plan. That is one good thing about advantage plans, you can change each year if you want to.
