I've been really trying to cut back on the spending, so I'm really looking for deals on food and trying to use what I have in my stockpiles which is going well so far... I had to pick up my Sons Prescription today.. and because he had to take a name brand, on my insurance it was $40. $28 more than we used to spend on the generic. So I used a $10 target gift card offer to offset the cost (they take competitor coupons!).... then I did my usual run around by the meat department looking for manager specials. Tonight I found:
2 Jimmy Dean Roll Sausage Maple Flavor
2 Jimmy Dean Roll Sausage Hot
2 Oscar Mayer Bacon 8 oz packages (the kids like BLT's or should I say one likes B's, one likes BL's.) LOL
1 Smithfield Pouch Pack Bacon 12 oz.
2 Sliced Ham 16 oz packages (my kids like ham and cheese omlets - and I don't make them often!)
3 Oscar Mayer Italian Chicken Strips - already cooked packages (for salads for work or to go in pasta salads)
and I picked up 1 packages of dixie plates that we needed (hubby hates the dishes and I don't do them
)....
Each of the meat items were short dated 7/12, so they are all going into the freezer until I need them... and they were .99 each! the total came to $14.14, I used my $10 gift card and got all the above for $4.14! I was so excited!
