we are all "Island Princesses" from Fehmarn Island. Have one of our ancestors, our 19th great grandmother traced back to 1341! I wonder when they are going to forward our tiaras? I think they have had enough time to deliver them by now!!

Discovered we come from Royalty on two different lines and that( Mary Queen of Scots is my 13th GG Grandmother)
So cool as I love all of the history aspects of genealogy. I have been able to read up on many of my relatives that aren't royalty, but a big part of U.S. history.
This is double awesome as I have never known a thing about my Grandmother's birth family, only her adopted family....They weren't too shabby either as her GG Grandfather ran for president of the U.S. back in the 1880's and only lost by a hundred or so votes.
My DD is in love with this bit of info as she has told me for over twenty years that she used to be a Princess, lol.

On my other Royal line, we go back to Charlemagne.
All of this is documented through something called the Millenium File.
I was more excited to meet my Grandmother's birth nephew than to learn the I am related to Royalty and I told him so.
I think I made his day with my response.

Been super busy. In addition to watching my two young grandsons full time, we have been at the ball field four nights a week as my two grandsons play ball and so does their mom and then they have soccer on the weekend.
All the sports end this weekend, so I will have some free time.

She didn't find out she was adopted until she was about thirty when my Grandfather became an U.S. and she needed her birth certificate for that.
Imagine her suprise when she found out she was adopted.
Shortly thereafter, since she had degree in Psychology, she became a foster parent. She had over twenty eight foster children and she adopted the last two.

Henry VIII's efforts to produce a male heir to the throne only succeeded with Edward, his son who died young and was king only 7 years. His daughter Mary did have children who were kings and queens, one abdicated. She also had 3 grand children one who was a king and two who were queens.
