ive had areally bad hole or diabetic foot ulcer on my foot for going on 2 weeks now went to doc.office got shot of antbis and 2 press. to take but has now turned inti another big hole between my toes and infection is swelling up my leg to my knee so scared dh is making me go to er tomorrow to have it checked out again they will prombably make me stay a few days at least im only 29 years old with 3 young girls still to chase and take care of and am so scared i want be able to i never ask for prayers but im in tears just typing this up im so scared ....if i dont answer trades please let others know its cause im in the hospital thanks so much and god bless you all ..cs 1|1|saying prayers, that it will all be alright.|dlpavitt|dlpavitt@att.net|05:25:17|05/24/2012|

You are in my thoughts and prayers. I have ulcers on both my feet. I had to have a surgery on january and had to have reconstrtion of my right foot. I have had a long road. They do have so many new things they can do now. Please know that people here are the best at sending prayers and love. what he will say you know? I've been so worked up and upset because of what I thought
was going on....and you make yourself sick over things without really knowing..

I totally agree!!!!!! My aunt had something very very simnilar and her primary was treating her for it until her family requested that she be seen by a wound care specialist. I believe they applied something called an unaboot to the area and it totally and completely healed. It is amazing what they had and could do at the wound care center. They even had some time of machine that you lay in that helped head the area....started with a B. Don't recall the name. i have an appt. with wound care doctor on tuesday , doctor is having a hard time finding a wound care doctor that takes my insurance , hoping this one dose , cause i sure cant afford it , i went there a few years ago when i had stepped on a nail and got infection really bad , the nurse said they made changes and the doctor wasnt taking my insurance anymore but since i was an old patient he might make an exception , whatever thats suppost to mean ...it is so hard staying off my foot chasing a 3 yr old around and the 10 and 13 yr olds seem to want to act like they are 3 yrs old as well lol ,, hubby has been massaging my foot and leg each day it is the only thing that seems to help the swelling and the pain , but what started as just a small hole has like rotted the skin between my toes and is peeling it all off thats what scares me , im afraid they will say they have to take at least those two toes im sure praying thats not the case ,hubby wants me to stay at hospital til its better but i came home and am going to wait and see what wound care says to do , i have the meds they gave me to take ,so hoping everything will start to heal once all this skin comes off , the doctor fears its in my bone so am suppost to get exray and mri of my foot tuesday as well , i hate waitng its stupied they dont have more wound care doctors who take my insurance ,,,please pray this doctor dose on tuesday cause i just cant afford it ....diabetes is a horrible disease i am 29 and have already lost my right completly cant see anything after 3 surgerys and several lasik surgerys to try and save my eye it ended up going blind , i have neupothy in both legs and feet and hands ,the pain is horrible each day , the meds they give me keep my dizzy and sleepy but helps the pain so i can coupon shop and still work online some i have filed for disability but am waiting for lawyers to appeal and all that ,like i told the doctors its not that i cant do stuff its just that i hurt so bad after doing it like a flight of stairs ,puts me down for 2 days the pain is so bad ,,i used to run the stairs or bleachers at the football statium i had so much energy now im tired and drained out , ..my doctor told me yrs ago i was going to die a long painful death ....if i didnt stop smoking , and i havent so that makes things worse im tring so hard to quit but its so stressful right with dh out of work again ..i thank you all very much for your prayers please kep praying for me and my family ,sorry i went on so long but had alot of emails with people asking questions so thought i would answer them all here ,,,thanks again for your concern and prayers ,,your friend christina

As you may know I am legally blind from diabetes and over the last few years have had a few surgerys lots of lazer and upteen shots in my eyes Why I ask is from what I understand lazik surgery is for something non diabetes related and don't know why they would put you through that my Dr does not like that surgery at all as she has seen many a botched job I also have issues with my feet as I suffer from Charcot disease another problem of the diabetes has anyone mentioned that you feet will swell from that get real red and hot it causes breakage of the foot bones I wouldn't put off haveing an xray don't let them dilly dally on that as you will do more damage being up on your feet as you probally allready know you must make sure your toes and inbetween are always dried real well after a shower/bath and you should get a shower chair so you are not standing on your feet in there either takes a lil getting used to but it works esp if you have a shower head that comes off that you can hold in your hand

there are meds for the diabetes numbness and pain.
Nothing is perfect but at least it helps
