Please pray for me or send good thoughts and positive vibes, I'm so nervous, but trying to just focus and keep positive. Cheyenne is quite upset and doesn't want me to have the tests, she's afraid that I can die, I told her that I will be fine, but I am a bit scared myself...Anyways I will let you all know how it went, when I get a chance. First of all, Thank you for all your wonderful thoughts and prayers my dear RS family, I appreciate them so very much...Below is a post I made on facebook about how today went, still gotta get through that darn treadmill tomorrow though..I've never had these nuclear ones, they are different...Hugs, Rebekka
Well I survived Day 1 of the first part of these tests, once I got called back, this guy was trying to find a vein for the IV, well he stuck me, but didn't come up with nothing, so then he says hold on, he never came back, well this other lady came in and said Oh you're the troublemaker, cause we can't find your vein, well she was searching for it, then the next thing I know, she shoves the shot in my arm and shoots the nuclear stuff in me, I asked her about the IV, she said oh you don't need it, we can just shoot the stuff in ya for now..Ummmm okay..Then she gives me this bottle of ice water to drink and says they will be back in 30 minutes...SO finally I get called for the nuclear scan, it takes about 20 minutes or so, well the pics didn't come out clear, something about my liver, apparently either the radioactive shot they gave me, still showed some residue in the liver or something, so they made me go sit for about 20 minutes, then re-did the test, the lady said that happens, some people need to wait longer than others...I didn't like being in the tube, you're in in for the first two minutes, and there's only like 4 or 5 inches from it and my face, then the thing moves and it just circles below my chin and around my heart, my right arm has to be strapped and my left arm had to be above my head, it wasn't as bad as I thought, but was glad I was done for the day, that shot made me feel a little weird at first, then it had a yucky smell to it, later on I started getting a headache...Tomorrow I have to do the same test again after I do the nuclear treadmill stress test, it's so different than the stress tests I've had in the past...I do dread tomorrow, cause they make your heart feel like you're gonna have a heart attack or stroke (you actually can), but I keep telling myself, I've had those other types of stress tests years back and survived...Sorry for being so long winded, I hope you all have a blessed night, I just wanna relax and spend time with my family :)
