Ok so I am new to the whole couponing and rebating thing and I have a question. Can I get in trouble (legal) for taking extra coupons and or a NAPR form while I am at the store? I know what the lingo says on the form but I don't see anything that says I can't take it off for my personal use?

Honestly I am asking because I grabbed a couple forms while at the store today and security stopped me on the way out. I gave them back the forms I had but was in total shock, thought maybe they were messing with me to be honest. I have never in my life been in any kind of legal trouble. Still reeling a little.

I really couldn't think how I might have broken any laws. At first I thought it was someone asking me for money as I waked out of the store. He said "You know what you did" I said "Uh I didn't know I did anything wrong." I pulled them out of my purse and handed them to him. The other guy said "These are for people who buy the products" I said "I have receipts" The first guy said "I'll let you go this time but next time it will be trespassing." That is part of her signature line, it goes on at the end of every post she makes. You can put your own personal message under the profile section and it'll do the same for you.
Some people add a message about their trading or holding their end, some link to their pictures, some to their Ebay, etc.

PERSONALLY I would (and have!!!) called the store corporate offices (not their call center...the actual offices) and demanded an apology. If you took 2-3 forms for your own use that is what they are there for. I would tell them you planned to do your shopping next time and took a couple and their security ACCOSTED you over it. If the forms/coupons weree from a tear pad, they are meant for you to take, so long as you don't get too grredy. If they ar on a bottle. your are supposed to buy the product.

If someone stops me from taking a eaer pad form/coupon, I simply say I plan my shopping trips,and I do, so as not to be too impulsive and to keep on my budget. And I do use the product. the coupon/form reminds me of what to buy. 10|4|Barb is right. What if they are NAPR? I have seen some for meat, bakery etc and they are NAPR especially Mondavi seems to do this. Would I be ok to take one or two of them off? 11|2|Ok I just misunderstood. 3 coupons! and he threw the coupons back at the guy...and emailed corporate and the OWNER of the store called him

said u go back in there........take all the coupons u want......and i guarntee u..they wont say a word..............

and at another mapco..in the same area about 2 wks later the girl working kind got an attude with him over some coupons and he told her.......

It does not matter what is on the form. If it is attached to the bottle, it is legally part of the bottle.

Good old form boards. Thank heavens a few stores still have them.
