of course they didn't stop but another nice couple stopped and buried him and then saw one of our posters up today and called us. My heart is broken. Poor old Shasta was the best dog in the world and I don't know what to do without him. Maybe this is all just a nightmare.

I tucked him in at night and picked out which sweater he would wear and what bowl he would eat from and he followed me even into the bathroom. I miss him horribly. I got a phone call today from the lady whose yard he is buried in and we are going to get him and bring him home soon to be put to rest underneath a tree in our back yard. I've already ordered a memorial marker for my sweet sweet Shasta. This is going to be so hard holding him in my arms again on the ride home. Please God give me strength.
