Judi, I am legally blind,I have a rare form of cataracts, it's called bilateral decresea vision(rapidly growing cataracts, and they are vascular. Only 14% of people under age 50 get these and I just happen to be one of the unlucky ones.I applied for a medical card from DHS, gave them the letter from my eye doctor stating I am legally blind. My eye exam at University of IL was $700 and am not looking forward to that bill, no insurance and my blood work will run a couple thousand dollars.Just staying positive and hoping all works out. next appointment is may 15th, for blood tests before I can have surgery.Thank-you for asking about me, you are very kind!
