I also have planned:

Would like to do one more dessert type item besides the cake.

TIA!

For some reason, its served with a loaf of italian bread, nice crunchy top so you can get the top slice off nice. Scoop up the insides and if possible cut in cubes for dipping? If not, use a separate loaf and slice and cube.

2 cans cheap crab flaked
2 cans tiny shrimp
1 cup chedder cheese
1 cup mayo or salad dressing such as miracle whip if you want sweeter.
1/2 SWEET onion, chopped

Drain the seafood and when you are ready to serve, mix all ingredients together in a glass casserole dish or whatever, vent with a piece of plastic wrap or wax paper and microwave for 1 minute. Stir well. Nuke again making sure your cheese is melted. Scoop into your bread and surround with bread cubes for dipping. VERY GOOD. You can use ALL SHRIMP or ALL CRAB..whatever you can afford..Still taste great!

PS: for those who like spice, I would dab some franks hot sauce or tabasco but I haven't tried it yet..I love HOT foods but not sure what it will do to the flavor.

after you bake, cool, poke holes with wood spoon end, pour all over.. then refrigerate..Actually the longer in frig...the better..This is best served cold from frig. I just like it more in spring /summer than winter. I also add a little less water to the jello when preparing it.

Here's the original:

1 small box Vanilla Jell-O Instant Pudding & Pie Filling (I prefer to use Banana Cream)
1 large can Fruit Cocktail/Mixed Fruit, well drained
1 can Mandarin Oranges, well drained
1 sm. can Pineapple Chunks, well drained
1 to 2 C. Mini Marshmallows

In large bowl, make the Jell-O per Pudding directions on box. Stir in all the well drained fruit & marshmallows. Mix well & keep cold/refrigerated. You'll want to make sure the fruit is well drained so the salad doesn't get soupy.
I don't like cherries so I buy the large cans of mixed fruit at Dollar General. It doesn't have cherries in it but does include papaya & bananas.
Very yummy! :)

I made this for my son's grad party 3 yrs. ago except I tripled all the ingredients & used a larger bowl, & it was enough for the 50+ people who were there. Everyone LOVED it!
I also bought a small inflatable baby/toddler swimming pool, blew it up & filled it w/ice & kept all the salads, etc. nestled in it that needed to be kept cold. I had the pool set atop a round table so people could just walk around it to help themselves to all the salads, etc. that were in it.
HTH. :)

Smile... it makes people wonder what you're up to!

Please identify yourself in 1st email w/name/username. Due to recent problem trades, if I haven't traded w/you before, I will probably require you send your end 1st or I'll need LEGIT trade references/feedback. I will be happy to provide the same. I'll gladly do the same for you upon request.:)

22|2|Thanks, Tami...adding that to the possibles list :) I had the same idea about a toddler wading pool! :) I'll be serving on the deck, so I have outlets for crockpots and a roaster, so the cold foods took some thought....I'm buying the foil throw away pans to put the food in, and will nestle those in the ice.....then watch like a hawk to make sure the ice doesnt melt to the point where all the food takes a swim!
