SandyC 6|3|When I joined RS in 2004...there were soooooo many rebate forms for LOTS of items in the grocery store. AND many in our inserts....it seems to be a fading thing. 2004 or 2005 was like the year of the tee shirt and beach towel. Remember all the beach towel forms? I still have many of them in the closet. M&M tees etc....(and the checks of course, lol!!!) |Barb09|Barb0969@AOL.com|20:38:57|04/09/2012|

every once in a while i sees omething- usually printable and i am absolutely thrilled but all of the bif money is mostly in wine. very little in auto either. we used to get some real nice premiums from all companies.

I think you are right, many companies are phasing those out. I haven't seen any quaker refunds in a long time and they were annual at least. The movie offers aren't in abundance anymore either. 9|2|Beach towels, movie tickets....where has all the good loot gone??? :( (I still have Scooby Doo towels from I dont know where, M&Ms towels, and those Bull Frog sunscreen towels....all those towels are top quality too!)|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|16:42:26|04/10/2012|

I still have my FINN, Kraft, & Velveeta Spiderman towels, the Hershey's Kisses snowglobes, Kellogg's cereal bowls (these are actually ceramic) & a couple of those cameras from the Pop-tart offer. Not to mention all the goodies Pillsbury offered w/Doughboy pts., Healthy Choice & Newport.
Sure miss offers like that!

And then there was a friskies offer that was supposed to be military only but they did not say that on the forms and the company followed through (I still buy Friskies over other brands because of that!) I got a years worth of free cat food from that one.

Huggies and the giant winnie the pooh?

Van de Kamp hot wheels which I later sold on Ebay for $25 each or so. They were unlimited and I had boxes full of them. Those little cars funded one of our Christmases.

In the early days of my refunding I had to walk about 3/4 of a mile to our mailbox (we lived in a log cabin in the boonies) and walking home was always such fun!

free trucks from Kellogs, pop tart bags. I still have one of those. I also got the free hot dog cooler that is round and has a tray in it. Remember the Sargento cheese bags? They made great gifts and I kept one for myself. It is great to keep a sandwich and a drink cool. I also got the free monopoly game and lots of movie tickets. 13|2|And PEPSI!!! I started counting on those rebates! Usually a money maker with sales and coupons.....and they were like every 3-4 months. I REMEMBER HAVING DIAPER BOXES CUT ON AND KEEPING MY LABELS OR EMPTY BOXES IN A SPARE ROOM AND TRADING AND GOING TO CONVENTIONS AS THAN YOU COULD DO REBATES ON A TON OF THINGS NOW SEEMS JUST LIQUOR.
DOES ANYONE REMEMBER THE DELMONTE STUFFED ANIMALS I STILL HAVE SOME OF THOSE IN MY CLOSET. I GOT SO MANY OF THOSE I FORGET HOW MANY LABELS YOU NEEDED TO GET ONE FREE ANIMAL.
I MISS THE REFUND CONVENTIONS YOU WOULD GO ALL DAY SATURDAY PEOPLE USE TO HAVE PHOTO ALBUMS AND TRADE SAY A DELMONTE VEGETABLE LABEL FOR SOMETHING OR CEREAL UPC THOSE WERE THE FUN DAYS. I USE TO GO ALL OVER THE PLACE.

I UNDERSTAND THAT SOME STATES IT IS ILLEGAL TO DO REFUND CONVENTIONS NOW. I WAS GOING TO TRY TO DO ONE IN MY HOMETOWN IN MASSACHUSETTS AND YOU CAN'T YOUR NOT SUPPOSE TO TRADE THAT STUFF ANY MORE.
WELL JUST WANTED TO SHARE WHAT 30 YEARS AGO USE TO BE LOL. 18|2|I still have Starbucks towels|Kristy|mi3zons1@yahoo.com|14:01:44|04/11/2012|

and i was absolutely thrilled. i can home with deals for atari jackets and got the forms for the delmonte yumlins ( stuffed toys in the shape of veggies -- if i remember right) after that i was hooked more than ever. i think i went somewhere to trade atleast once a month.. all kinds of forms. we traded form for form , 3 forms equaled a qualifier (upc) and we traded complete deals. most forms were no more than $2 and there was no liquor. we did didn;t start so see liquor till 90's and then you needed the label. i knew people who had about 40 bars saving bottles for them because you could do the rebate on liter bottles and that is what bars had.i knew one guy who had people that did nothing but soak labels off for him.. i think over the years i have had almost every kind of premium you can imagine. the oil companies gave us tools and tool boxes, t shirts and hats.i knew some one who had thousands of cigarette upc to sell and that merchandise was the very best stuff.i miss those offers. they made great holidays.

the year I got married! Forms especially food, tons of P&G and many others were on rebate boards in almost every food store and you didn't have to ask for them either! I especially loved the unlimited $2 free beef/chicken offer from Lipton. I must've gotten at least 30-35 of these coupons! I also remember the Nabisco $20 offer, Delmonte Yumkins, several beach towels, and so many other freebies. They were certainly the good ol' days! I hardly refund anymore but still use coupons which I save more this way doubled to .99c every week - Sharon:) 30|3|started in the 80s also.
