with the lady who is all, "Ive fallen and I can't get up!", I vividly remember someone talking on here about their predatory sales tactics, and how it is not a good company. Anyone remember who it was who posted that information? 2|2|tthere are several companies|petunia1|sweetpea39@comcast.net|10:53:21|04/03/2012|

seems the Red Cross/ Philips is the best to go with

it's hard making all of these decisions. hoping we picked the best one, etc... 3|1|Check w/your mom's phone co. & see if they offer this.....|maraj|maraj64@hotmail.com|11:01:58|04/03/2012|

At least then you know it's legit & reputable. Our phone co. here offers the same/similar system for about $20/month. It's called Med-Link. You get a special phone along w/a bracelet or a necklace w/the emergency button. When the button is pressed, it's immediately transmitted to the local hospital's emergency dept.
HTH. :)

Smile... it makes people wonder what you're up to!

Please identify yourself in 1st email w/name/username. Due to recent problem trades, if I haven't traded w/you before, I will probably require you send your end 1st or I'll need LEGIT trade references/feedback. I will be happy to provide the same. Told me I couldn't get information unless I gave them my phone number. I didn't want to give them a number as it wasn't me buying the service, but I finally relented and gave them ONLY my cell number and they kept calling me and bugging me even after I asked them to stop. Even worse, they called my WORK number which I had not given them. I spoke to a manager and he said that sometimes it takes a week to take you off their list, and that's why I was still getting calls. I could accept that, but calling my work number left me furious with them. My boss doesn't care, but some bosses wouldn't be so understanding.

Anyways, there are also reports of Life Alert taking advantage of older people - continuing services after they've been asked to stop, intimidating older people into taking their service, etc.

Any one you choose, be sure to google to see what people who have used the service are saying about it.

kept asking for my full name I wouldnt give it to her and she was annoyed (I figured they get a commision or something), they didnt get a phone number either but I did call from my work and they kept asking if it was a health care worker calling. told her yes and that threw her off. they better not call my work or I'll be giving them a call.

Godsend for our family. My wonderful sister, Patty promised my Father she would do everything in her power to let him stay in his apartment. Patty and my daughter, Amy live in the same town, down the shore and they were pretty much tied to 1 of them always being in town until they got this service. The hard part is getting them to use it. My dad was pretty stubborn about NOT using it until the morning when my sister in Ohio was trying and trying to get him, Pat was at work and Amy worked nights so she got Amy and Amy went to Dad's place. She opened the door and found him lying on the floor, he had fallen in the middle of the night. She pressed his button and they dispatched the ambulance. My Dad was so upset that his Grandaughter had to find him that he used it from then on.

that my mom wont use it. she hated having the cardiac monitor around her neck (everything cmae back good - YAY!!) and i worry she'll not put it on and just figure she'll keep it closeby somewhere. She has a good memeory so I can see her doing this. The phillips one has a bracelet type so I am thinking of going with that one. She is coming to dinner on Sat so I am going to show her it online and let her pick.

glad your dad is Ok and finally wearing the unit. It is so hard, I am not closeby so I cant just pop in throughout the day. 9|3|My experience|mmlvr|farmmnger95@verizon.net|09:10:13|04/06/2012|
