(Such as when/if the signature is illegible so that the name is clearly identified.) For example, if the witness's name is John Doe but the signer just signs with loops and/or scribbles, and the name is not legible, is it permissible to print the name clearly beside the illegible signature even if the document does not specifically request it or have a line for the name to be printed on? Thank you in advance for any answers...

Many people do not have legible signatures.
