When signing a document as a witness, does printing one's name next to the signature invalidate the signature of the witness? (Such as when/if the signature is illegible so that the name is clearly identified.) For example, if the witness's name is John Doe but the signer just signs with loops and/or scribbles, and the name is not legible, is it permissible to print the name clearly beside the illegible signature even if the document does not specifically request it or have a line for the name to be printed on? Thank you in advance for any answers... 1|1|Name is usually printed (or typed) below the signature.|Arizona|vbj48@cox.net|10:31:57|03/27/2012|

This seems to be the customary way. Many people do not have legible signatures. 2|2|She is so right|STEVE|STEVBOLT@WMIS.NET|12:19:12|03/27/2012|
