only color the roots & very top, leave the rest alone. I'm guessing when you rinse, the ends will get what they need

you only work it in through the ends for the last five minutes anyway.Because my hair is shoulder length and thick, and I am cheap, by the time I do the roots and top, the ends wind up with very little for those last five minutes.
