Also saw that Kroger will discontinue the use of Pink Slime.
Looks like Walmart and Sam's Club will continue to sell it. Yuk! They have not responded to the public outcry of this horrible practice of using pink slime. That is meat in the diets of some that have no other choice. Pressing the industry to eliminate this safe but cheaper alternative can be the difference between a child going without. I HOPE that cheaper markets don't fall to public pressure and eliminate this altogether. We get what we pay for....and if you can afford a higher priced cut of ground beef and can make the choice not to eat it that is fine. There are lots of grocers that will still sell the ammonia ground beef and Walmart is everywhere.
The news articles said the difference in price was only 3 cents per pound.

I heard on ABC World News that they will re-evaluate after 60 days. The employees will be paid during this time. I guess they think customers will change their minds. Not a chance!
The slime company has made tons of money processing this garbage. If everything was on the up and up then why did they not disclose what they were doing? I'm sure the answer is that they knew people would be disgusted.
