Sunday March 11th post:
Here's what's going on with Cheyenne: she was somewhat dehydrated and her bowels are backed up, she's been having bowel movements, but apparently not enough and so she's packed in and the dr gave her miralax...she also agreed that Cheyenne should see a gastro pediatric dr, we've been trying to get her an upper GI but her dr keeps saying there's nothing wrong, but even the ER dr said that it sounds like she does have GERD too...The ER dr said that since she was sick in Feb with that gastroenteritis, that could've backed her up too...I'm hoping that the miralax helps and we are gonna try and see if we can get a gastro dr for her. Plus she's lost 14 pounds in the last few months, the ER dr said probably cause she hasn't felt like eating much due to the blockage..
Tuesday March 13th:
Update on Cheyenne and Will: it's been a long day here, I had to take Will to the dr this morning, he's been in bad pain due to his sciatica/back/leg problem, the dr gave him some different meds and we FINALLY got the referral for Will to see the neurosurgeon in Roanoke, so we go next month, it's a few hour drive, but worth it if they can help him, after that we had to pick up our granddaughter and then take Cheyenne to her dr appt, I had Will call her dr this morning, cause she's still in pain and hasn't felt well at all..We told her dr that the ER dr wants her to see at gastro pediatric dr and she said there are none here, so we would go over the mountain to Charlottesville, we told her that would be fine, cause we wanna find out what's going on...So she says she doesn't have a problem giving her a referral, then she changes her tune and says, well let's do a few things first and see if we can figure out what's going on, she didn't like that Cheyenne has lost a significant amount of weight, so she ordered lab work for her, she said she wants to check her for Crohn's and Colitis and other things, she said she doubts it's any of those, but still it kinda scares me, I hope it isn't either...So we took Cheyenne to have her blood drawn at the lab and they took 9 viles of blood, at the end of the last tube, Cheyenne started panicking and said she couldn't breathe, it was so hot in there, they had a fan blowing at the wall and I said they should aim it at the patients, so she kept yelling help me I can't breathe, poor thing, she was so nervous and she was scared due to the dr saying cronhn's (we have a young lady at our church that has it and she's doing poorly right now, so that is what scared Cheyenne). Finally we finished up and came home... They also gave us the stuff to get a sample of her stools as well if she has a bowel movement...We have to drop it off at the lab once she has one...She also sent us home with two prescriptions, she gave us something that works better than zantac, but the insurance doesn't cover it (it's $387) so we had to decline and call the dr tomorrow to see what she can recommend, the other prescription isn't covered either, so we have to see what we can do...It's just been a very long exhausting day, I feel so bad, cause Cheyenne is in pain, she tries to fight it off, but when it hits her really bad, she cries :( Please if you can pray for her or send positive thoughts, I would appreciate it so very much, we are booked up this month with different dr appts and dentist/orthodontist appts and now next month is starting to fill the calendar with them too, it's very draining, but I try to stay positive...

Poor Cheyenne! What a trooper! I would pass out if they took 9 vials from me, too. I can only hold it together so long ;)

MY RS Family is the best, Thank you so much to all of you for your wonderful thoughts and prayers, Will, Cheyenne and I appreciate all your kindness... Hopefully we will find out something on Wednesday, Cheyenne is still in pain, it gets worse at night and there have been many long nights with no sleep for me, I'm so stressed right now. I am a strong person, but with all going on, I feel like I'm at my wits end some days, now our van is starting to give us problems, today we had to stop and sit, finally someone gave us a bucket of water, looks like our radiator has a leak, so we managed to get to Walmart and picked up some prestone and some of that radiator leak fix stuff, I pray it works, or I don't know what we are gonna do, we have a ton of dr appts coming up and I can't be without a vehicle, so naturally I'm stressing..I just wanted to say Thank you to all of you for all your thoughts, prayers and kindness, you all are like our family and I love you guys...Hugs, Rebekka
