Mailed an envelope containing a check priority mail with #DC on Feb 9th, in the same state I am in , and it did not arrive until the 15th. Well because of this I was assesed 332.48 in additional fees, because my check was late. I am really peeved!!!

i would call the company and if u have never been late payments before they should forgive u a one time fee
i have done this before with a discover bill and a phone bill and they don't give u any grief worth a try hth vickie

the company would not remove the late charge. Alot of these big corporations are not consumer friendly about that issue. The fee that I had to pay wasn't anywhere near what yours is but I still was unhappy about it.
I have learned that if I have something that is time sensitive, I would send it by Express Mail or Fed-Ex. Priority Mail used to arrive in 2-3 days but it is not guaranteed. Now with the postal cuts and problems, one just cannot count on it.

the lady said if i mailed it i needed to add at least 9c more a day so she figured out 10 days for the check to get to MD from VA
and i was like whoa why ?? she said that would be added and my acct wouldn't be paid off
and i was like can you take debit over the phone well that would have cost 20.00 more dollars
but she could do check by phone and wouldnt cost me anything
i thot how odd
but it got it paid
wonder if they would have taken your payment by phone ??
