Amanda  (Travis's Ex-wife..Lukas mom) met a man at church...I do like him..he's a little older...<BR>etc.. etc.. any they've been seeing each other.. BUT NOT serious..or so I thought.. SO tonight she calls me..<BR>and says..are you coming over  tomorrow and I'm like yes..AND she's like...I have something to ask you..<BR>AND I'm like YES.. And she says..Will you and haley be in my wedding?  I didn't say anything for a few seconds..<BR>she says hello....I say, "amanda, did I just hear what I think I heard" and she says, yes..I was speechless...I didn't know<BR>what to say..I was like .. WHY...Why so soon, blah blah blah..she says...well we both love each other..and why wait??<BR>oh my goodness...I'm still speechless..I was like...We'll talk in the morning ok...AND she says..you will come to the wedding right?<BR>I mean...It's been so hard  trying to figure it all out with lukas...AND now, she wants me and haley to be in the wedding?  WAIT..<BR>we weren't even in your wedding when you and travis got married.. I was lucky to go to the wedding....BIG sigh..WHAT in the world...<BR>SO...I mean..I love amanda...You know..travis brought her into our life...and I just can't give up on her..she's had a tough life...blah blah<BR>blah..and I think she just wants to be loved so bad...I need to take a sleeping pill and go to bed..I'll be up all night over this...<P>I don't know why I posted this...just needed to vent..talk...SIGH

I know that she must kind of feel like one of your kids by now and you probably want to try to protect her from making any mistakes.  All you can do is to keep being there for her (and that beautiful boy!), let go of not being in her wedding with Travis and be gracious and be involved in this one.  Help her make it a happy time.  It sounds like she deserves that and maybe in all of the planning it just might take a little longer than she is thinking and that will be enough time to see if this really seems right.<P>Also spend more time with this new guy.  After all, you have to make sure he is good enough to be a role model for Lukas!  <BR>Hugs!<BR>V
