Can someone help me. The bulb in my oven burned out and when I removed
it the socket is still in the back of the oven. How do I get it out.
It seems really stuck in there and hard to unscrew it. Any suggestions?
Thanks. 1|1|First, unplug the stove if you havent already.....you can try to use a pliers....place the pliers inside the broken off socket piece, then open the pliers and press each 'arm' against the inside surface.....twist and see if it comes loose....|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|21:47:03|02/07/2012|

try using a potato that's around the same size as the socket area, maybe only a bit smaller. Push the potato into the socket til it seems to be firmly in place. Then turn the potato in the appropriate direction to loosen up the broken socket piece so you can pull it out. Hopefully this will work for you. Just make sure there's no potato "juice" left in the oven's socket & that it's dried good before you plug your stove back in.

I forgot to mention this in my tired frame of mind last night. LOL It's just better to have some of the dry peeling on the potato so you have a better grip.
I read about this somewhere a long time ago, for removing a broken end piece of a lightbulb out of the socket of a ceiling light or lamp fixture. I have done this myself & it worked.
Hope it works for others. :)
