I promised the kids that when we got our tax refund we would go down to see my stepdaughter in Virginia to visit her (I can't believe my kids have never seen the ocean or the beach! They're gonna be excited!).
Anyway, I'm hoping to make it a few day trip so that we can make stops to see people. Got our refund but haven't looked at dates yet, but you can be sure I'll be emailing all you girls when I get the trip figured out!

welcome to spend the night with us. It would cost you $5 for parking. I always make DH annoyed, LOL, by bringing cereal etc but would cost you nothing for breakfast and lunch (we have lunch meat in the fridge) snacks, soda and juice I bring and Amy will bring anything I may need during the week, remember she works there. Dinner is absolutely do-able, many options. There is a great boardwalk now, can go or not. The beach is free and very, very nice. It would be my (and DH's) pleasure to have you for a night. Amy spends a bit of time with us too, LOL. Please think about it, you already know me, LOL. If you like me, you will really like my DH, LOL, he is a wayyyyy better person than me! LOL! I think the kids would have a wonderful time in such a nice hotel!
