I will run the numbers on both and see which has the better refund...there is a credit that we can claim but I'm not sure the form is available on the free editions...sigh. I have some research to do tonight for sure. I should just do them by hand this year, print the forms and all, I don't know. I do prefer to have the paper forms, gives me more control than a software program. 3|1|Amy (Abbicca) is by far the best lol She is worth every pennie lol lol|teener|teenerzacsneenee@yahoo.com|22:41:07|01/25/2012|

I have heard much feeback on this product on how people love it and how much more they got back vs TurboTax.

H&R block software is one of the products I merchandise weekly during tax season (my 3rd year doing this). I get feeback from both sales associates and customers at stores on both TurboTax and HRB.

Depending on how many extra schedules, etc. you need to fill out the free online is not always the best. Check into what you will need....you might get more back if you buy the software and file at home that way.

This week the best deal is at Office Depot if you want to buy the deluxe version of the software.

The Deluxe software here in my state (NC) is on sale for $34.99 and the store will give you a $15 gift card. Making the Federal and State deluxe version $20. Includes the efile fees for both state and federal here. Prices vary by state depending on if you have to file just federal or both federal and state. I'm just quoting the prices I see every day here in NC.

Target has a $10 printable Coupon on their web site for the H&R Block deluxe or higher. It is on sale here for $39.99 and they have also offered a GC with purchase (but not this week).

Other stores like Office Max and Best Buy have deals too...OM is a GC with purchase and same with BB this week.

This is just my observations and feedback from conversations with sales associates about the free not always being what gets you the most or what you really need.

I am not a tax expert and don't claim to be just telling you what I see and hear.

just finished a few minutes ago using it again this year to file with fed & state. My best friend uses it as well..neither of us have had a problem so far and it's sooo quick & easy. Covers just about anything/everything you can think of. I like the fact you also get emails telling you when the state & fed accepted it and when estimated deposit will be as well. I also have NEVER gotten back as high refunds as I do now that I use Turbo Tax and that includes when I had it taken to a pro tax person.

Most likely, the freedom edition does have all the forms I need but I want to make sure. If not, I will buy the deluxe version.
