I just wonder about auction? It is general question.

who should pay DC if person bid on auction? if winner who bid auction, should winner pay or OP should pay DC?

my opinion is if i am OP and i would pay DC and winner would pay shipping and bid cost. OR winner should pay shipping cost include DC ?

i just notice few auction include DC. i wonder what is wrong or right that winner should have pay DC with shipping cost?

:-D 1|1|I think it should be included in the shipping|carmenanderson|cloudcars@verizon.net|17:10:02|01/25/2012|

I think some sellers, want to gaurantee that the item is delivered, and want to put DC, on it to avoid problems. MORE|dlpavitt|dlpavitt@att.net|17:37:45|01/25/2012|

Lets say it is part of the shipping, and the buyer says, do not worry I do not care if there is DC. Then later on, the claim they never get the package, and are blaming the seller for never mailing it. If the buyer pays for it, no issue. So that is my guess as to why some say they will pay for it. I DC most stuff I trade, if it is large, and anything I sell on ebay, to protect myself. However I do not mention that in my auctions. My thoughts, good question. Donna

If you are a HONEST trader, there is nothing to fear in having a feedback link. If you do not have one, please set one up, BEFORE contacting me for a trade. If you insist on not having a feedback link, please do not contact me to trade. Feedback links protect all of us, on RS. Thanks for understanding. Got something good? make an offer... let's trade!! 4|1|Whether it is an auction, a bargain box, or a HIGH value trade.....I pay the DC if I am the seller. Why? Because it covers me. If the trader claims the item didn't arrive I have proof that it did. Why would the buyer buy the additional service that protects the seller.?|Barb09|Barb0969@AOL.com|20:50:00|01/25/2012|

I looked and looked and found no coupons for troll food......SO, I don't feed the trolls!! 5|2|I agree Barb, I pay dc for my protection as a seller|cinda68|lacinda68@gmail.com|21:03:17|01/25/2012|

It should not fall on the buyer, it is for the seller's protection and well worth it too..especially on ebay. I got burnt once, years ago, by sending a box without DC and the buyer claimed I never sent. Never ever again...been putting DC on every box since. 6|2|oh on the bay, need signature confirmation if over $250 too|cinda68|lacinda68@gmail.com|21:07:14|01/25/2012|

If the person bidding is only bidding under 10.00 then it should be the bidders responsibilty.
The person is not making much on bids under 10.00 to pay for dc. Over 10.00 I would then pay for
the shipping on auction items only.

9|3|It would depend on the value/bid, in my opinion.....|ptmama525|ptmama525@aol.com|21:12:30|01/28/2012|

most auctions I bid on are high dollar amounts, to be honest I just pay what shipping I am told...never really paid any attention as to whether the items are shipped with or without delivery confirmation and if it is with it, who paid for it. I wouldn't expect someone (seller) to pay for it if it was a real low amount. But then again when I bid on auctions I feel comfortable enough with the seller to know delivery conformation isn't necesary.
Just my opinion!
