Hi
I'm sure this has been answered a hundred times, but I never quite took the time to figure it out.

If you have a personal, verified paypal account and only accept existing funds I know that you are not charged a fee by paypal. I also know that if you accept a credit card payment you not only have to upgrade your account to a business one and are charged a fee to accept that payment. (At least this is how I last understood it)

Here is where I get fuzzy... if you are forced to accept a credit card payment (example, you want to use ebay and they force you to use paypal only to accept payments and someone will always use a credit card to pay) does this mean that once you upgrade your account to accept that credit card payment will all of your concurrent payments whether existing funds or not be charged a fee? (This was how I also last understood it to be).

Would I be better off creating a separate paypal account specifically for ebay and keep my personal account for existing funds? I don't care for the idea of being forced to upgrade then having to pay a fee on every transaction.

Thanks for the info!
B
