So alot of people, myself included, want to use the new year to kick off weight loss goals. I had the idea that you could make food for yourself in muffin tins, and then just pull out two for each meal. Instant portion control. You could make little quiches for breakfast with egg whites, light cheese, veggies and turkey sausage/bacon. Some dinner ideas are little turkey meatloaves, little pasta bakes or turkey shepherd's pie..whatever you like to eat, just use the healthier ingredients and then just bake in the muffin tins. Could be easily frozen for later. As far as the ingredient swaps, sub extra lean ground turkey for ground chuck, egg whites for eggs, fat free dairy for regular, you get the idea. Buying zucchini and grating it and then adding to recipes like meatloaf or lasagna, or even enchilada bakes adds volume but not calories.
