everything has been opened and the festivities are gone, it just seems very lonely and sad.
and im the one that always tells people how the holidays are not over and that it lasts past New Years. maybe if this darn rain would turn over to snow that would be better. i know i cant be the only one with these blahs?

I know it has been a hard year for alot of people. I know how easy it is to get feeling down. I just try and be thankfull for what I have and that I have more than I need. freinds and family that love me. My health as been bad the past few years but I am still lucky that people have it so much worse then me. I hope you can find peace and feel better really soon. Would start around Thanksgiving but I'd feel more down in the dumps after Christmas was over. I guess you could call it the after-Christmas letdown. I still deal some w/SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) during the winter mos. w/shorter daylight/sunlight but for some reason I don't get the Holiday blues anymore like I used to. I think the wonderful friendships I've developed here have played a big role in that.
I don't mean to sound like a scrooge but I'm actually glad to have the stress & chaos over with. I love all the pretty lights & decorations but I'm relieved that all the pressure of decorating, shopping, wrapping, baking, etc. is gone & we can get back to some kind of normalcy again.
If I could just decorate a little & enjoy that along w/the good food, good friends & the array of lights & other people's excitement, that would be enough for me. :)

I will tell you what i tell everyone about birthdays :) atleast you are having them ya know?
i told that to my fiancee a few months ago when he turned 50. alot of people that have passed would love to have another birthday so i am greatful every morning when i wake up and for every birthday i have :) they do sting more though lol as i edge twords 40. But turning 38 in 2012 and just passing the 85 lb weight loss since august i feel its just gonna get better..........so just say bring it on :):):)

because I love the first of January, I love Mondays, I loved turning 30, and 40 and look forward to 50. I love beginnings, and to me those are all beginnings and the chance to start something new. lol. I really am backwards, I prefer gloomy days to sunny days, because on Sunny days you can see all the dirt and dust in the house and feel like you need to clean, on gloomy days, you light some candles and see no dirt, so you have time to cosy up with a good book lol.
Sometimes you have to trick yourself to see the good in changes.
