Sometimes I just use the scrubber with water and dish soap and sometimes I use it with cleaner/degreaser like 409.

Amazing what that magic eraser can clean, I would use it for this task. 8|1|Use a paste made with baking soda and a damp cloth.....you dont want anything that will abrade the surface as if you have micro-abrasions, it is a risk for problems later on, including the top shattering.|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|20:33:10|12/12/2011|

use a clean damp cloth to wipe away the residue, then use a paper towel dampened with vinegar to shine it up :)

9|1|I tried the vinegar and water, didn't work that well. I use copper bottom pans that are older, I can't afford to buy all new pans.|lv2qpon|jcummins1@rochester.rr.com|15:52:53|12/13/2011|

I have a scotch sponge and that didn't work well. I have a coating on the top of one burner, I just can't get it out. 11|1|Thanks everyone for your suggestions, I really appreciate it.|lv2qpon|jcummins1@rochester.rr.com|15:54:49|12/13/2011|
