we have major moisture problems i need a dehumidifier in the worst possible way several areas of my home are melting meaning that the dry wall has become wet and moldy! the walls in those spots are soft i am at my wits end here we have a moisture barrier but nothing seems to work i need a dehumidifier asap i have looked everywhere and they are so expensive and a used one is not to be found :( please pray that i find one soon and that it works enough to save us till spring

If you are a renter you have some rights and this is something your landlord should have to help you take care of. That sounds like a pretty serious situation and I hope you can find a humidifier soon. Mold can make people so sick and I know you have kids, so that is a worry.
If I were you I would probably get on the phone and start calling agencies. I know they are all busy this time of year, but one of them should be able to help you (if you own the place, if you rent contact your landlord and tell them you need a repair.)
